Risk Management Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sr. Risk Management Analyst with managing the claims programs;
  • Familiar with RMIS/Claims Systems, Microsoft Office and other databases to gather claims information/documents;
  • Provide good customer service and handle queries from the general public;
  • Input claims into Safety and Risk System (SRS) and assign to Third Party Administrator (TPA);
  • Respond to and submit Adjuster queries as it relates to the Authority’s Operational and Construction claims programs;
  • Assist in the management of the subrogation program, specifically as it relates to auto and general liability claims. This involves gathering invoices and other documentation to send to the TPA and other responsible parties for assigned property claims;
  • Work with vendors concerning claims administration;
  • Limited review/evaluation of claim files;
  • Work with the Office Assistant to manage and organize claim file inventory;
  • Coordinate training sessions;
  • Field customer claim calls;
  • Assist with claims intake and emergency notification;
  • Coordinate activities with the Occupational Safety and Health and other Departments, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk or Business Management or related field from an accredited college or university (or)
  • 1-3 years of relevant commercial insurance and or professional risk management experience
  • Good written and oral communication skills
