Job Description

Position: Program Analyst Jr.

Location: Washington, DC

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) has a need for qualified Program Analysts who can perform the following duties:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides program and management support to various offices within USAID/LAC.
  • Produces documents and integrates data from multiple platforms and software programs.
  • Provides organizational and logistical support, including travel arrangements and meetings or events.
  • Assists with the coordination of space and equipment requirements.
  • Prepares final documents for Senior Bureau and Agency leadership, and represents the LAC Front Office for scheduling meetings for the Administrator/Deputy Administrator.
  • Provides events assistance for incoming VIPs and other high-level visitors to the Agency.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to staff on an array of program, management, and technical support issues.
  • Prepares memoranda, talking points, briefing papers, and official correspondence for senior leadership.
  • Provides program and management administrative support to various offices within USAID/LAC.
  • Serves as a travel arranger and E-Country Clearance requestor for staff, provides telephone coverage, reviews office correspondence for proper formatting as prescribed in official agency guidance, keeping abreast of and implementing agency guidance to ensure proper document management through clearance processes, electronic filing, etc. Such services are usually provided to one office, but provision may be among several LAC offices to support higher level staff, sub-regions, and/or sectors depending on priority needs in the region and in the Bureau.
  • Provides events assistance for incoming VIPs and other high-level visitors to the Agency.
  • Performs other special projects as required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of related experience or High School Diploma and 6 years of related experience required.
  • Candidates with USAID experience or other U.S. government experience preferred.
  • Candidates must have a strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including the ability to use formula's and create charts as well as abilities in other features of Microsoft Excel (same for PowerPoint and Word).
  • Proficiency in use of the Internet, G Suite and e-mail applications required.
  • Experience in the use of database applications is recommended.
  • Spanish or French (Preferred)
  • Candidates must possess a  Public Trust or an active Secret Clearance or have had a Secret Clearance in the last 2 years.
