Position: Customer Care Associate

Location: Washington, DC

The Customer Care Associate is responsible for performing a variety of functions within the Customer Care Branch. Handle customer inquiries received by telephone or from walk-ins.  Provide information and assistance to customers who present a broad range of complex issues and concerns.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to provide sufficient information to resolve substantive issues and problems involving compiling, reconciling and correlating data from various sources
  • Exhibit positive action in making final determinations on customer inquiry and/or problem
  • Receives customers in the Business Office and satellite locations and provides advisory services in relation to payment issues
  • Reviews the customer's total situation in order to establish payment plans, accept a request for investigations and accept payments for service restoration
  • Prepare adjustments on an account and submit for approval
  • Process requests for final bills
  • Compose clear and concise correspondence
  • Prepare various report

Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of customer service experience
  • Ability to handle complex problems and issues independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Substantive knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques
  • Strong computer skills
